Week 11 - Part I: Email Marketing Response
As mentioned in the lecture, "email marketing is one of the most important tools to work in your marketing mix." Fily Willy Auto Care is currently constructing its marketing business plan, which will include newsletters at a later date.
A rough plan includes having a newsletter released quarterly in conjunction with a blog post that is embedded with the yet to be built business website. The newsletter will be a list of headlines with preview text that will be directed tobunique landing webpages on our website. The newsletters will be formatted so that not too information would be presented in one message and overwhelm or more likely, discourage the recipients from reading more or deleting the email newsletter message all together. I have an issue of too much email and I wouldn't want to be inundated with weekly newsletter from my auto care provider. Quarterly newsletters would target the average time an oil change, for example, would be needed for one's vehicle and remind customers that we are online and keep interest in our business fresh.

- Service specials: Coupons and quarterly vehicle maintenance specials, e.g., oil and filter changes, brake inspections and service, alignment specials, tune-up specials, etc. Also, take advantage of holiday times as well, e.g., a summer special for AC inspection and repair.
- Referral programs: Refer friends or family to the business and receive a t-shirt or a discount at the next service.
- A section for do-it-yourself auto repair inspection: links to YouTube videos for checking car batteries, fluids, windshield wipers or tire pressure. Additionally, videos to make simple repairs to the vehicle.
- Entertainment: Fun car facts (as seen on the first newsletter) and games that would be linked to the business website. This would create traffic to the website and increase customer engagement. Winners would be awarded discounts or unique prizes.
- Community events: Sharing events in the local area, increasing community awareness and involvement.

I love the do it yourself auto repair inspection as I would enjoy anticipating your newsletter to learn something and then what specials you are promotion. Also car facts would really entertain my boyfriend so I would share that and seeing car shows in the area for community events. You really nailed everything in your newsletter and I enjoyed the sample so thank you for adding the link.
ReplyDeleteYour newsletter includes good categories for every customer. It includes discounts and events for everyone and how tos for customers that are not familiar with auto repair inspections. I like that you include Spanish and English on your newsletter.
ReplyDeleteYour newsletter is going to be a hit. I like that you'll be providing service specials since many are always interested in deals or discounts. I also like your idea of the entertainment section. I would spend my time visiting the webpage to play games in chance to win special prizes. Very cool!
